If you are expecting this site to show a person whose house is spotless, with homemade meals and desert made from scratch on the table every night, the laundry always caught up, my kid always acting perfect and handmade gifts given for every holiday, then you’ve landed on the wrong site.

If you are NOT like the person mentioned above and you want to come hang out with someone who isn’t a Supermom either, then you’ve come to the right place.

When You Feel Like Collapsing Out of Exhaustion, But It’s Not On Your To Do List

Mom days are long. No big surprise to you is it?

We are usually the first one up and the last one to crawl into bed at night, or should I say fall into bed.

Maybe you have had a day like described below. Maybe it was today.

The alarm clock goes off and you actually contemplate the notion of everybody skipping school and work, and the thought of sleeping in till 8:00 sounds heavenly.

Just when you decide you just might do that a large dog who has to go out to pee just shoved her cold wet nose into your face.

Or maybe you have a toddler who comes running into your room screaming like a banshee holding a poopy diaper in his hand.

Either way, you have to get up.

Ugh! Might as well rouse the rest of the troops.

With the morning chaos of breakfast, fights, getting dressed, backpacks and lunches, then flying out the door hopefully in time to meet the bus, you are already feeling a bit frazzled.

Let’s admit it, your morning routine is so frenzied it would make any marathon runner feel winded.

Add in the household chores of laundry, dishes and cleaning that weird stain on the carpet… what IS that?!
Then errands or a job outside of the house and by 11:00 AM you have already put in a full day’s work.

Come evening with homework, dinner, dishes, more fighting, tossing in yet another load of laundry…I swear I am doing laundry for people who don’t live here... the the ball practice you are already late for, you find yourself dreaming of actually collapsing on the floor in a heap. Your body completely worn out and no strength to hold its own weight up.

Have you ever fantasized doing this? Come on, I can’t be the only one!

So picture this as you stir the macaroni – You are on the kitchen floor right in front of the stove. Maybe your family will be so alarmed they will take care of you and do all their chores without fuss for like……forever.

I told you it was a fantasy and fantasies aren't supposed be realistic!

Here is what would really happen to me if I tried this:

I know how my family would react. They would just step over me to get to the fridge, lean over and ask me if I remembered to wash their favorite shirt and if I have seen the remote.

That is when my choice of floors to collapse on may not be the best choice as I notice all the crumbs and strange dirt on the floor, the giant dust bunnies caught in the fridge vents and all the missing toy pieces under the stove.

So far I’ve seen 2 hot wheels, 6 cheerios, 3 vitamins, 4 game pieces, a AA battery and some weird looking chunks that I think may have been dog food pieces at one time. All of these wonderfully lost items are also sitting in about 6” of dust.

I sigh as I get to my feet and write the words, “Clean under stove” to my already longer than should be “To Do” list. So much for my drama themed mom moment.

In all seriousness though, I truly have had days where I just run upstairs, hide under the covers and answer their never ending questions with a disguised and muffled voice saying, “Mom? Nope, haven’t seen her.”

But when I have done this I get the following scenario:

My husband comes into the bedroom finding me buried under covers muttering some unrecognizable words and asks the famous, “What’s wrong?” and before I can even spill my guts on all what’s wrong in my life he starts asking me if I paid the bills yet, if there is any money left and when I was planning to go to the grocery.

He would then promptly leave when a small human runs into the room screaming at the top of his lungs because his favorite car went under the stove.

Wonderful.

Then there’s the dog. Remember the dog? Yeah, she’s sticking her nose under the cover right into my face. I’m not sure if she wants out to pee again or just to escape the terrors of the household. I pat her head and she gives me an understanding look like, “Thank you for fixing me so I can’t have puppies.”.

The macaroni's burning and sticking to the pan. Looks like I’ll have to reschedule my “Mom Collapses Day” for another time when there isn’t so much to do like um…..never.

Julie

If you have ever wanted to add to the household income while still staying home with the kiddos, you can do both. I have and it is actually a lot of fun. It gives you a reason to shut the door to your office, even if it is just the bedroom, and use the excuse of, “Mom’s working!”
Moms, you can own your own business and make your own money while fitting it into the nooks and crannies of your day.

We call it Project M.A.H.M.A – to learn more and hear from other moms who are doing it and still managing to stay sane, visit our website: http://tobehealthy.myshaklee.com/us/en/about_mahma_success.html
Then click Contact Us up top of the page and tell us how we can help.

Tip: If you take your phone into the bathroom to look at our site, lock the door and turn the vent fan and the tub faucet on full blast, you can almost drown out the sounds of the kids fighting.

Mom Who Doesn't Have a Car, But Has a Dream

Meet Mary -
No car? No problem! Find out how Mary Bias is building a business from home with no transportation and working towards her Shaklee Dream Car bonus!

Tell us a little about yourself.
I am married to my college sweetheart Joseph Bias (insert Christmas Joke here).  We have three beautiful little babies; Brooklynn 6, Garrick 4 and Ananias 18 months.  I am a nurse by training, with my masters in Nursing Education.

How did you learn about Shaklee?
I learned about Shaklee through a friend. At the time my husband and I wanted to start trying again for another baby.

What made you decide to join Shaklee?
I was taking an organic whole food supplement, and was shocked to find it had one of the highest lead counts on the market, so joining Shaklee was a no brainer for me. When my husband and I joined, we did so with the intent of just using the products and maybe making a few referrals.  I was working on my master’s degree at the time and never thought I would really pursue Shaklee as a career.

What kinds of changes have you experienced since using Shaklee products?
Our whole family has had a health transformation.  I myself have lost 22* pounds! Right now, our Shaklee income covers all our supplements and some of our bills!

What is your goal for your Shaklee business?
My goal is to have sufficient income to start making new experiences for our children.  Right now, my husband commutes over an hour each way to work – so the children and I stay within walking distance of the house every day.  By May, we are hoping to have another car and enough income to start going to the zoo, aquarium and other fun experiences.  My daughter would love to take ballet.  We would love to be able to put our children in choir or piano lessons.  Little things like that are next on our list!

What are some of the intangible things you’ve experienced with Shaklee?
Shaklee has helped me to be a better wife, mother and friend.  You can’t truly explain to others what the personal growth aspect is like – it is something that has to be experienced.  But the fact that you can’t be successful without caring for others forces you to learn to love people in a way you never have before.  I have had to learn to truly serve other people, and it is life changing.

What are some of the specific things you’ve been doing to grow your business?
Since Cleveland, I have spent time writing my vision and my why and creating affirmations to help me with my mindset.  I love participating in the many different training opportunities that are offered in the Shaklee Family.  The weekly upline calls, and the Shaklee Mom’s Calls with Kristen Cunningham have been instrumental for me. Right now, I have one Director under me, and multiple distributors that are earning enough to cover the cost of their products.  I love looking at my bonus statement each month and seeing the different families who have their product cost covered!

What one piece of advice would you share with your fellow Distributors?
Don’t give up!  Keep your head up!  Keep your vision and your “why” handy.  They will keep you motivated.  Be willing to change your thinking when you need it.  Any activity, no matter how small is a step in the right direction!  If I can do it, anyone can!  I love to show other moms and young people that it is totally possible to build a business without a car, from your home, during the day with little kids running around!

Single Mom with 4 Children Builds Her Own Business

Carolyn's Shaklee Effect

"I came from nothing," Carolyn Spargur says, "and who would have thought" that she would come so far. Carolyn celebrated 50 years in Shaklee in 2015.

Carolyn started her business as a single mom raising four children. She was working two jobs till someone took the time to show her a better way. I love what she says at the end. smile emoticon

Carolyn built her business back when it wasn't so easy especially being a single mom. If she could do it then, we can definitely do it now!

Tune in for an inspirational Project MAHMA Call this Saturday!

Our host is Ms. Greg Moore (Director, FL). Before Shaklee, Greg was a manager for a Fortune 500® company working 60-70 hours a week and traveling every week.

The stress and travel finally took its toll and after a major health challenge, she knew it was time for some changes.

Not soon after, she met someone who shared Shaklee products and the Shaklee income opportunity. She started by switching brands, and within a few months of switching brands she saw a difference! Soon she began sharing Shaklee with others and saw her business grow. “After years of not believing my life and health could be any better, I found Shaklee,” says Greg. “Shaklee has made my dreams of owning my own business and better health come true.”

When she is not sharing Shaklee, Greg loves the outdoors including lots of walks with her golden retriever, Jake; spending time with her sister and her critters; and enjoying the awesome Florida scenery, beaches, and weather.

Joining Greg this week are Cindy McAsey (Senior Coordinator, KS) and Dawn Scott Oliphant (Associate, AZ).

Cindy is has been a Shaklee Business Leader for over 15 years. Her Shaklee business is called “Be Barefoot,” and she uses that name because thanks to Shaklee, she can grow her business and be barefoot most of the time! She works her business from their farm in Kansas and has successfully helped two children get started in the business and grow a steady Shaklee income also.

Dawn is a “mompreneur” with two boys ages 11 and 9. She has also been married to her high school sweetheart for 21 years. After working a day job in city government for 17 years she made the step to transition from her day job away from her home and family to a fun job working at home with her family. She is on a mission to empower moms and provide them with an avenue to contribute financially to their families!

After the call, be sure to contact us to learn more!

Our host is Project MAHMA co-founder Jude Peskuski (Senior Key Coordinator, TX). Jude is the proud mom of two wonderful boys, John and Jay. She began what she refers to as her "Sesame Street hobby" back in 1981, earning $500 a month. As Jude says, "Shaklee has been the vehicle for me to have more dreams come true than I ever imagined. I've traveled to Hawaii eight times and visited Australia, Hong Kong, Europe and the Southern Caribbean on the Dream 2013 incentive cruise!" Today Jude, along with her Project MAHMA co-founder husband, Jack, earns a six-figure income* and loves contributing to people's health and well-being and making their dreams come true.

Joining Jude are Elena Giacomin Dennis (Executive Coordinator, NM), Heather Hirsh (Senior Coordinator, NJ) and Kristina Yeouze (Coordinator, TN).

Elena is a former teacher who began her Shaklee business 35 years ago as a single mother of two daughters, then three and five years old. She made the choice to build a Shaklee business once she understood the unlimited earning potential with a Shaklee business as well as the opportunity to earn a car and free travel.  Once she started her business, she promoted to Supervisor (Director) in four months, earned her first Shaklee Bonus Car and the New Supervisor Trip to San Francisco that same year. “I have never looked back,” says Elena. “I am so grateful for the income, freedom and travel over these many years.”

Like many stay at home moms, Heather loved being at home but found that she was tired and overwhelmed a vast majority of the time. Then one day she met a new neighbor who was always so full of life and energy. “I quickly had to find out what her secret was,” says Heather.  “She was prompt to share that her secret was Shaklee! Immediately I agreed to try whatever it was that she was doing so I could feel more alive.” Since partnering with Shaklee, Heather has not only lost 30 pounds and gone down four pants sizes** but also transformed her family’s health. “To date I’ve earned an income more than I would have working out of the home while still being where I need to be for my kids. Furthermore, we’ve qualified for a car payment, went on an all expense paid trip to the corporate office in San Francisco, qualified for an all expensed paid trip to the Mayan Riviera, won an iPad® and earned thousands of dollars in cash bonuses! We’re so grateful that our friends shared the opportunity with us which has allowed us to completely impact the course of our life and future.” This is just a small portion of Heather’s story. Tune in to hear more!

Kristina is an introverted and adventurous spirit who has traveled extensively, loves the arts, and will one day own a therapeutic horse farm nestled in the Rocky Mountains. She trained as an actress and eventually earned a Master's level Marriage and Family Therapist degree. She met and married the love of her life, David, and now has one daughter, Sofia (a pretty awesome, spirited red-head who is three and a half years old), two pound puppies, and a very noisy, but lovable cat. After the birth of her daughter, Kristina couldn't bear the thought of going back to work as a therapist, but longed to help people on a preventative level. A Shaklee business seemed a logical and natural solution. She began her business in August of 2011 and since then has built a dynamic team of moms with young children, earned a trip to San Francisco, an all-expense paid luxury cruise in the Southern Caribbean, and a car bonus while working very part time from the comfort of her home.
